Genesis Quezon Tugs Inc. (GQTI) is the premiere tugboat provider of choice for our clients based in Quezon Province. We have assisted more than 220 vessels from the date of our first operations last 2016. GQTI was founded by the former pilots of Quezon Harbor Pilots Company, Inc. These dedicated men have more than 50 years of seasoned seafaring experience, manning and maneuvering ships from tugboats to VLCCs in foreign seas.

GQTI is an ISO 9001-certified company by the Bureau Veritas, a testament to our commitment to our quality Management system, risk-based thinking, customer satisfaction and continual improvement.

Our fleet is capable to service vessels spanning from PANAMAX, Post-PANAMAX, HANDYMAX and KAMSARMAX ships. Each tugboat (Japan-made) is equipped with Niigata engines and Z-pellers propulsion with BHP’s spanning from 3,400-4,000 BHP ready to provide the best needed power in every weather situation.

Regular safety checks and equipment tests are always ensured to provide the utmost service during the course of our operations. Firefighting and safety equipment are ensured to be in top performing condition ready and prepared to be used in any given emergency situation.

 Genesis Quezon Tugs, Inc. (GQTI) currently operates a fleet of tugboats that ply routes in the ports of Quezon Province, Philippines, such as Pagbilao and Sariaya. Our tugboat fleet consists of Tug 80, Tug 78 and Tug 88 with engine power ranging from 3,400BHP to 4,000BHP. We have handled our clientele’s precious cargo of coal, grains and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) which have been essential in providing power for the country. The GQTI team has more than 30 years of shipping and maritime experience ensuring our clients of competence, quality service and ingenuity. We also provide ancillary works like emergency fire and rescue operations when the need arises. Our operations are always ready, 24/7 throughout the whole year, always ready to give our service when the need arises.

Our vessel fleet are ready to undergo any weather condition and equipped to respond to emergency situations. Regular inspection, audit and drills are ensured enroute to our ISO 2015 approval. Rest assured that we will comply to all the policies, requirements and regulations prior to our approval.
